Why do authors (or their publishers) still resort to the tired strategy of linking the name of a prominent philosopher with something incongruous, on the assumption that this will result in increased sales ?
As seen in Waterstones Books in Gower Street yesterday:
Wittgenstein Flies A Kite
The Burglar Who Studied Spinoza
Nietzsche's Corpse
Driving With Plato
As seen in Blackwells a bit later on.
The Philosophy Book
No author. No gimmick. Just The Philosophy Book. Now that's a proper title.
